A digital medicine book for UK farmers.
Drover replaces the paper medicine book with something that fits in your pocket, works in the rain, and survives an audit. Built for beef and sheep farmers, scheme-agnostic — works with Red Tractor, QMS, FAWL, NIFQAS, or no scheme at all.
Currently in private beta. Drover is in internal testing with a small group of UK farmers and vets. If you'd like to be on the waiting list for early access, email neil.lmx@icloud.com.
What it does
- Records every treatment, purchase, and withdrawal period — the stuff Red Tractor / QMS / FAWL auditors actually check.
- Knows the UK veterinary medicines catalogue. Search a product, get the dose, the route, the withdrawal periods, the HP-CIA warnings.
- Maps your farm. Pin bait points, fire extinguishers, pollution risks, sprayer fill points — the stuff your Farm Environmental Risk Map is supposed to show.
- Generates Audit Mode reports that show every standard you're meeting, with the records that prove it.
What it doesn't do
- Send your records to anyone else's server. All data lives on your phone; optional encrypted backup goes to your own Google Drive or iCloud.
- Charge you to access records you've already entered. Subscription funds future development; cancelling never locks you out of your history.
- Pretend to replace your vet. Drover's a record-keeping tool, not clinical advice.
Who's behind it
Drover is built by Neil, a UK livestock farmer and software developer. The medicine database is curated from VMD product SPCs; the standards framework is mapped to current Red Tractor, QMS, FAWL and NIFQAS documentation. Drover Ltd registration is in progress.
